I've been thinking recently about what kinds of things people (like you) might be interested in reading. That said, I was also wondering if anyone was even reading these blogs at all! I mean, I know they aren't exactly a hot spot of interest because honestly...who wants to read something that has absolutely no point?
Thinking these things I decided that I would only ever post something if it was worth reading...
hmm...
Now comes the part were I attempt to make all this reading worth your time.
Ok. I've thought of something.
Why is the answer 42? People have been asking me that question for 4 years now and every time I answer as simply as possible...and then the message is lost and the value of the expression is completely lost with it. I suppose that the best way to explain the strange expression is by revealing that it is inspired by a novel called the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. If you haven't read the book, I am going to have to ask you to leave, read the book and come back enlightened with a new outlook on life and society.
You might be reading this now thinking that you've fooled me into believing that you've read the book and that everything beyond the previous paragraph will answer all of your silly questions. Of so, you are completely right and I now expect that everyone reading this paragraph has conducted a thorough study of the afore mentioned novel that ironically has no reference to the actual point of interest in this lesson (you see what I did there? I made a joke about having to buy useless books for college that you only ever use to get a better look at one image that the instructor has actually projected onto the wall for everyone to see!).
Ok, back on topic. quite honestly, if you've managed to read this far into this blog post then you deserve to know the true meaning of "The Answer is 42!". The expression is actually a clever facade to a rather simple, but intriguing concept. This concept is this: The "real world" is heavily influenced by fictional ideas. This short sentence is a summary of what I could possibly stretch out to multiple pages, but my goal here isn't to bore you so I'll keep it as simple as that. I am a true believer in the idea that the most influential source of invention comes from our creative abilities in the form of silly imaginative thoughts.
